Marina Bay Hotel & Suites, Ascend Hotel Collection

I stayed here 10-12 nights over the course of a month while I was working in town. I stayed at a few other hotels on the island as well but kept coming back to Marina Bay. I loved everything about this hotel, for real. It was clean, renovated, helpful friendly staff, great options for breakfast, and had a big clean pool. Bonus points for the unobstructed epic sunset views. If anyone gives this place a bad rating they'd have to be crazy!

Started off in the anchor inn and was promptly moved after 1 night of 3 because of noisy people above our room. Staff was understanding and was able to find us a similar room in main building on a better floor. Also when asked provided extra blankets. Great room good price and nice helpful staff. Only draw back is pretty much end of main Street attractions upside quiet. Eric Glover

Our check in was smooth and pleasant with a nice lady at the desk. Our room was nice and clean and we thought we will leave the next day with a good experience. The morning when we were departing there was another person at the reception who was not nice at all. She was unfriendly and bothered with my question. That changed big part of the experience. Then we went to their "cafe" to have something to eat for the voucher that they have provided and we threw everything to the trash, it was just terrible even the apple was no good. So overall positive experience was ruined by the few hours before leaving.

A great option at a great price if you value modern amenities, updated rooms, updated bathrooms, and starbucks coffee in your room! I will certainly stay here again. The parking lot was well lit too!

The only saving grace as a nod to a decent experience was Chloe. She was pleasant and helpful. The entire staff- I repeat, the entire staff can learn from her natural people skills nuances. The male with long hair never even looked up to address me as I walked past the desk several times during my stay. Perhaps he was consumed, however it’s the intentionality that counts. You never get a second chance to make a first impression. The older female staff was curt and superficial. I also requested an emailed receipt and never received it. Overnight staff was absent from visibility around the 11:00 pm hour for at least 15 minutes. I called the front desk three times within a ten minute time frame after 11pm, while standing directly in front of the desk, to no avail. The dark-haired young girl, stoic persona, but helpful somewhat- finally arrived to assist. The hotel aesthetic overall was pretty cool, but the customer service was very poor. Other than Chloe, It felt like a desolate hotel with no warmth. Whoever the female staff person(s) were that worked during checkout on Wednesday morning of 8/28/24, from them I experienced partiality and calloused pleasantries. The $15 voucher concept was decent- I’d recommend better food options. I enjoyed my suite, but felt rushed out and unwelcome. I would not return to stay here simply because customer service is everything. And here at Marina Bay Hotel, it was sub-par at its best.
