Great camp host! Clean restrooms, place to dump sink water, and amazing access to the Rio Grande River. Easy drive into lovely Creede.
Perfect place for August camping. Great campground host. Campsite is laid out well. Nice campsites along the river.
This review is primarily about site #10 where we stayed. As other have noted, there is a very large downed tree across the campsite which is sort of excusable. What is not excusable is the wall of dead branches along the side of parking area which forces you to place your trailer closer to next site. This is also a big fire danger. Second, the fire pit is located on the other side of the large dead tree rather than near the picnic table which makes it useless. Other issues of the park in general is the uncontrolled growth of weeds infringing on the road way and parking pads. This could have been a five star rating campsite if not for the lack of upkeep.
