I had just visited Mount Rushmore two days before and was on my way to Vancouver. I stopped in George, Washington to fill up my truck and was looking for a place to spend the night. When Google maps showed that Martha lake camp was only a mile away I thought it was appropriate linking Martha and George together! And since I have a discover pass, I could stay free of additional charge. Very quiet and only 2 other vehicles were there.
Beautiful place just amazing. Discover pass needed if you intend to leave your vehicle. No fee, dry dispersed camping 3 day limit. Would have been 5 starts if other people took care of their trash properly. Don't expect to go barefoot as there is a lot of broken glass in most camp spots you're gonna find.
This was a great spot for the night. Lots of little quiet spots to tuck into, not much noise from the highway, amazing sunset and the little lake was cute. Toilet was surprisingly clean. No water or any services beyond this.
Amzing last min place to stop woke up to a nice clean lake that I jumped in and other then the fact people need to pack ur trash out it a nice place keep it ckean
Free camping up to 3 days with Discover Pass. No shade, no beach, but nice spots near the lake. Best for kayaking or fishing. The whole lot is gravel. There is a vault toilet here. Surprisingly quiet for being next to the freeway.
