Mascoma Lake Campground Introduce

Welcome to Mascoma Lake Campground, a part of the Campgrounds & RV Parks category, located at 92 Nh Rte 4a, Lebanon, NH 03766. Situated across from Mascoma Lake, this campground offers scenic views and access to lake activities, but potential visitors should be aware of its hilly terrain and other considerations mentioned by guests.

Environment: Mascoma Lake Campground is located on a fairly steep hillside, offering beautiful views of Mascoma Lake directly across Route 4A. The terrain is characterized by steep hills throughout the campground, which may pose challenges for some visitors, particularly those with young children. While the lake itself is clean and enjoyable for swimming and kayaking, the beach area has limited sand.

Services: The campground offers tiny house rentals and full hookup RV sites. The tiny houses are described as a good size and include essentials, although the beds are noted to be uncomfortable. For RVers, short-term sites are available, but one guest experienced an unattended office during a mid-week arrival and difficulty reaching staff by phone. The RV sites are gravel and level, equipped with a rusted-out fire ring and a picnic table with peeling paint. The campground also features a playground for children. Kayaks are available for rent, and there is a biking trail nearby.

Features: A primary feature of Mascoma Lake Campground is its beautiful view of Mascoma Lake and direct access for swimming and kayaking. The playground is a nice addition for children. However, the extremely hilly terrain is a significant characteristic, making it potentially unsafe for very young children due to steep drops and inclines. The close proximity of neighboring sites, particularly for RVs, is also noted. While the lake and surrounding scenery are appealing, the comfort of the tiny house beds and the condition of some RV site amenities have been mentioned as areas for improvement. Additionally, the office hours may be limited, primarily operating Friday through Sunday.

Promotional Information: If you are looking for a campground in Lebanon, NH, with beautiful views of Mascoma Lake and enjoy lake activities like swimming and kayaking, Mascoma Lake Campground might be an option. They offer tiny house rentals and RV sites. However, potential visitors, especially those with young children, should be aware of the campground's extremely hilly layout. RVers planning a mid-week arrival should note the limited office hours. For more information or to make a reservation, please call (603) 448-5076 or +1 603-448-5076. Consider this location for its scenic beauty and lake access, keeping in mind the terrain and potential for close neighbors.

We rented a tiny house and it was a good size and included the essentials. The beds are very uncomfortable but it is what it is. The view was beautiful. If you have small kids this campground is NOT for you! I wish we knew this before but the campground is extremely hilly. Steep hills everywhere. In front of the tiny house was a 3ft drop straight down. It was so hard to keep our kids safe. The playground was nice to have and the beach was fun. Not much sand but the water was great. Very clean. We took the kayaks out for a bit and went biking on the trail one day. My in laws stayed in their camper a few sites down from us and they enjoyed it. Neighbors are very close to one another so keep that in mind. Overall it was a beautiful campground but not kid friendly unless you have older children.

We booked two full hookup, mid-week nights for our RV trailer. On arrival, we found the office closed and a sign stating hours only Fri-Sunday. I called the posted # and left a message, which was not answered. A map and info were taped to the door for another camper, but nothing for us. A helpful resident pointed out the three sites used for short-term stays and we got set up, with the unit below us about 4 feet away. Our spot was gravel, level and featured a rusted-out fire ring with some burnt trash in it and a picnic table with peeling paint. Most sites on the fairly steep hillside location were closely spaced, and a majority appeared to be used for seasonal residents/campers. We did not use the facilities so can't comment. Both ATT and Verizon signals one bar. The lake is directly across route NH4A, also "The Baited Hook" restaurant. We would look for other options if stopping in the area again.

John & Susan are wonderful! We've been working hard to get the restrooms in fighting shape for this season!
