Maswik Lodge

Great location, convenient facilities, and friendly staff. However, I wouldn’t stay at this lodge again for several reasons. (1) Strange Smell: The room had an unusual smell that made it difficult for me to relax. It reminded me of formaldehyde or something similar, which affected my comfort and sleep quality. Instead of fully enjoying the beautiful nature of the Grand Canyon, I found it challenging to rest properly. (2) Unreliable Room Key: Last night, our room keys suddenly stopped working, and we couldn’t open the door. Although we received new keys upon request, no one explained what had happened. It was a very strange experience, and there was no apology from the staff. (3) Inconsistent Water Supply: The water supply fluctuated drastically depending on other guests’ usage. Additionally, the faucet in the restroom was leaking, and the button (or handle) was malfunctioning, making showering even more difficult. I was just hoping the water wouldn’t stop completely while I was showering. Please consider these factors carefully and decide whether this lodge is right for you based on your own preferences.

We had an excellent trip to the Grand Canyon and the Maswik Lodge. Outstanding visit to our National Park via Maswik lodge. Our room was clean and quiet. Good pizza at the pizza place, too. We'll be back!

We stayed in one of the new buildings with elevators which was very convenient. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and designed for comfort, making them a great choice for visitors seeking a relaxing retreat after a day of hiking or sightseeing. It was also quiet in the area. There were some on-site dining options though the selection was limited. The hotel is close to key amenities of the Grand Canyon which makes it an excellent base for exploring the area.

Hotel located in the heart of the park accessible by car or bus. A bit on the expensive side 387$ a night for bed and breakfast,. We reserved for 4 , but it include just two breakfast. The restaurant is just ok and also expensive. More motel type than hotel. The rooms are clean even if a little old-fashioned. Otherwise attentive and helpful staff. Possibility of obtaining a map and information on the site visit.

Maswik Lodge was lovely. Clean, comfortable, convenient, quiet room. We especially appreciated the kitchenette which allowed us to address our specific food needs. All of the staff were friendly, approachable, and helpful.
