We spent 3 nights here and it was perfect for exploring the grand canyon. If you want sunrise and sunset being close by is helpful. There are so many sites to camp here and they are all close to bathrooms. The fire pits have grates but you can't gather wood here as it's against the rules. I loved the large amount of ravens that visited my site. They can be a pest though so we just got rid of our trash in the dumpsters at all the bathrooms before we went to bed. We stayed in December after a snow store and it got to 12 F but we prepared with great gear including down sleeping bags and an insulated sleeping mat. We saw multiple people try to camp in this weather and give up by abandoning their tents for the car. This is dangerous! You can die if you don't crack a window and use a heater. This campground does have showers but it's a short hike or quick car ride to it and it is a pay shower with free towels and shampoo and conditioner just pay 10 quarters for 5 minutes. This is not enough time so get 10 minutes instead and hurry!

Campground is very nice restrooms are immaculate considering how dirty people can be. The sites themselves are a bit on the gravelly side which matters if you are in a tent. Tent sites are slightly inclined, but if you're used to tent camping not an issue. Plenty of room at our site. This time of year it's pretty cold so be prepared. We enjoyed ourselves immensely. Site 41 Aspen loop.

Awesome campground. We were in site 298 pull through no hook ups, but some shade. Cools off at night so no problem sleeping. Here from 6/5 - 6/8 2024.
