We stayed in November. The campground was quiet, clean, and very nice. It is convenient to take the bus from the campground to all of the attractions. The bathrooms were clean and conveniently located. There was a lot of wildlife in the campground but this wasn't a problem. Ravens, elk, deer, crows, chipmunks were commonly seen The general store was within walking distance and it was well stocked and reasonably priced.

What a spot. Peaceful campsite, we arrived late and it was easy to find our spot and then check in the following morning. Free shuttle bus stops right outside the site so super easy access to different points of the canyon and the little town. Clean bathrooms, plenty of space between pitches. The view of the stars at night from our pitch were breathtaking. Would recommend this site for anyone visiting!

Quiet surroundings and well maintained camp sites far apart with clean washrooms and the sites are good size. Stayed for 2 nights over the Thanksgiving weekend. Slept in the car as the temperature in late night to early morning dropped to -9 degrees, so be prepared as there are no electric hookups in the location. We used the shower facility in the premises (opposite to the check-in counter) which was 2.5$ for 5mins and it has laundry facilities which are well maintained.

We stayed for 7 nights in the Mather Campground and it was quiet and we enjoyed seeing the elk walking through the campground. We had two different sites in the campground and loved having a little shade and sun. Some sites are made for RV's and we always choose those sites to fit our travel trailer and truck. There was plenty of room. The roads are tight, but you can go slow and make your way through with ease. The laundry was clean and was a great place to catch up on laundry on the road. The walking trails went all around and easy to get to the rim, bus and the market nearby. Great place to camp and hike. We would definitely stay here again.
