Fantastic camping platform in the Okefenokee. I've camped at all 10 canoe/kayak access camps in the Refuge and this one might be my favorite. It feels like you're in the middle of nowhere, well, because you're in the middle of nowhere. It's very remote and takes quite a bit of effort to get to (12 miles from Kingfisher Landing or 9 miles from Big Water). It's well worth the long trip.

It's a long paddle out but a fantastic lake with a beautiful sunset view. It's quiet enough at night, the bugs weren't bad in the winter, and lots of birds and owls around. The following miles to Big Water are a fantastic paddle as well so worth considering.
