Customer Reviews
Maurice's is an old campground. We stayed here with our 27' trailer and it was OK. The sites are really small and the neighbor's sewer hose is really close to your picnic table. We couldn't fit on the site first assigned to us and the manager moved us to a site where we would fit. Most of the "park" is occupied by full time summer people who leave their trailers here over the winter. Most of these trailers are old and in bad condition and at the very least could use a powerwash. We were there for a week and the bathroom was cleaned once. The showers were clean but were only open from 7am till 10pm, according to the sign. The roads are narrow and very bumpy, and it is a challenge moving a trailer about. The place was quiet, though.
My family’s been camping at Maurice’s for 4 generations. So many great memories from my childhood. The place needs an overhaul to be honest. Personally I consider it charming and very old Cape Cod but if I weren’t so enamored and familiar I would be less than thrilled with the state of the camp these days.
We stayed in a “deluxe” cabin which consisted of a jack and Jill setup. The accommodations don’t appear to have been updated in the last 20 years and consisted of wood paneled walls and musty carpeting. We were told—and there are signs stating that—there is daily maid service but we have yet to have our cabin cleaned so far after five days. We’ve had issues requiring maintenance—lightbulbs burnt out and a toilet needing plunging. We were told to go to another cabin and find a plunger ourselves and given two lightbulbs to change ourselves. Considering the price we paid ($1500 for seven nights), we are displeased with the services and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
Most wonderful time ever. Clean bathrooms, staff is amazing! Always helpful, friendly and accommodating.weve been staying here for 30 years and it's never looked better!
It appears that the town has opened this campground to those less fortunate. Lots of full time run down rigs. Great location but not for families. One or two nights at most then be on your way. Very overpriced for the downtrodden atmosphere. Will not be back.
This was my first time visiting the Cape. I've been to Nantucket and The Vineyard but the Cape is a beauty of it's own. The campground was wonderful. Very quiet for so early in the season. The gentleman Jim at the office was very kind and helpful. He made me a hot cup of coffee and helped answer any questions I had. Along with mostly Campers and some RV's the campground offers the most adorable and quaint cabins. They are quite small. I've never seen anything like them and so very cute. The area is directly in front of the Bike Path which travels into town where there is a selection of stores, shops, restaurants and more. There are nice hot showers and bathrooms in the campground, a playground, a community fire pit and grill, horse shoes, basketball hoops, and during the summer months there's a large store. Directly across the busy highway off the main road, there is a movie theater that is also a drive-in. There are so many beaches and plenty of spots to fish. There are local fishing charters as well as opportunities to see seals and sharks (from a distance of course.) The area is very close to many towns with so much to do and only 25 minutes to Provincetown. Highly recommend checking them out. Vacation is even more relaxing when spent in nature. I look forward to spending more time in the area this year. Wishing you the best time and many memories 💕
