McCreary's Beach Resort

We had a great time at McCreary's Beach Resort. It is located on a beautiful lake that is amazing in the fall and summer, and nestled into a gorgeous landscape. We stayed in a two bedroom condo rental unit and loved our weekend away. The unit was extremely clean and well kept, and everything is new. We felt right at home and it had everything you need for an easy and comfortable weekend away. It was relaxing and fun, and grounding to be out in nature. The staff are friendly and kind, the amenities are fantastic for individuals and families alike (with schedules and calendars of daily activities), and you're just a short drive from downtown Perth which is filled with local shops and restaurants and a wonderful atmosphere. It's a great small community at McCreary's Resort, and everyone takes great care of the properties and is friendly. It is a great set up for a relaxing weekend away, and has something for everyone. The property is clean and well kept, and there are seasonal activities, and lots of opportunity to be outdoors. Would be a great place to vacation with friends or family. We loved our time there and will certainly be going back.

Love this place. And the water is an experience you’ll never forget. You just want to come back year after year.

I stayed here with my mother in the off season, winter time, while we waited for our newly purchased home to be ready. We stayed 2 months in one of the condos and they were beautiful, cozy, and clean. The only down side was the walls are paper thin so you can hear the tenets around you fairly easily. Even tho it was the off season there was still many activities such as skating on the river, indoor pool and sauna, video games area, and gym. Everything was always clean and cared for, and the cost to stay there wasn't out of this world especially when you consider what you get with it as all the amenities were free while we were staying there. I recommend this place highly as it holds many of my favorite childhood memories.

Booked a condo, but received a call saying they are renovating and they offered a cabin at the same price. Great! Except the cabin was VERY dirty, and the "resort" lacks security (they have none). The beach is beautiful and the staff is responsive (that is - responsive during office hours. Do not expect the staff to show up if the neighbours are being rowdy, or a fight breaks out at night. You're on your own). Would not stay here again. We ended up leaving a day early because it was so gross -- we didn't receive a refund (not that we expected one).
