Quiet, lots of pine trees. Half sites in sun. Bring easyup and netting, lots of small black flies. Cooler here, 80 degrees vs over 100. Very dry.
A very clean, campground with clean restrooms, you don't have to bring your firewood always try to buy local firewood so you don't bring in insects or disease to the area, you can always buy firewood from the host they're very nice always have cash with you because they don't accept credit cards if you need supplies you could always drive down for 10-15 minutes and buy anything you want from the local grocery stores or flying J's. If you love camping in the forest this is one of my favorite places to camp you can always go for a walk or hike, or bring your bike end bike round the camp grounds or down the road a lot of people do that. This is a popular campground make sure you either reserve your spot or come early and find a nice campground to camp, this is bear country, also there are a lot of insects and wasps, be prepared for it.
A great campsite the sites are spaced nicely apart, the restrooms are nicely maintained, there's many sites to choose from and it's usually never packed here. The hosts even came by and helped us out with the fee procedure and they patrol the area often. I will warn that the winds here can be a bit strong, but that might have just been the night we went. Campsite 75 was large enough to hold 5 of us and I'm sure we could've fit another tent.
Very nice campground, clean with several campsites and pretty decent views. They have no potable water, and currently no campfires 🔥 allowed, but propane is, but must visit the website to watch an important video and then get your permit to use propane at your campsite. We camped and then biked to the top to ride Mt Pinos downhill 7 mile single track. Awesome trail and maintained nicely.
Great place for chilling with friends & riding great trails. The views from our campsite were beautiful! The campsite was well cared for. Well spaced from other campers. Getting to do a run, go back to the site for lunch then going out for more runs was soooo great! The staff was very friendly, professional & knowledgeable.
