McIntosh Lake RV Park Introduce
Welcome to McIntosh Lake RV Park, located at 1045 McIntosh Lake Ln SW, Townsend, GA 31331. As a part of the 'Campgrounds & RV Parks' category, this RV park offers clean sites and lake views, but has received mixed reviews regarding its location, amenities, and management.
McIntosh Lake RV Park is praised for its clean and well-maintained environment. The owners, Leah and Trey, are noted for being easy to work with. The park's proximity to I-95 makes it convenient for transient travelers. However, its location has also been a point of contention.
The park is situated close to a major county road, resulting in significant road noise. Additionally, the lack of nearby amenities, biking or walking trails, and shower facilities has been a concern for some guests. The serene lake view is a positive aspect, but the overall location may not be ideal for extended stays.
The park has strict rules, including a prohibition on rugs or mats on the grass, which some guests find inconvenient, especially those with pets. The grass lots lack pads, picnic tables, or door mats. Some guests have also reported inconsistencies in rule enforcement.
There have been reports of management being unaccommodating to late arrivals, with one guest being turned away despite offering to stay without unhooking their RV. This has led to negative feedback regarding the park's hospitality and flexibility.
McIntosh Lake RV Park offers clean sites and lake views, but with significant road noise and limited amenities like showers and trails. Strict rules and potential issues with late arrivals. Suitable for transient stays, but may not be ideal for longer visits.
For inquiries or reservations, you can contact McIntosh Lake RV Park at (912) 224-6236 or +1 912-224-6236. When booking, be aware of the road noise, limited amenities, and strict rules.
Customers highlight the clean sites and lake views, but also express concerns about road noise, limited amenities, strict rules, and potential issues with late arrivals.

Customer Reviews
We Stayed there for three weeks. I have to say that Leah and Trey were very easy to work with. They Keep a nice clean Rv Park which was easy on and off the 95 great for transient although I would never stay again. This is simply due to location, proximity to amenities, no real trails biking or walking can be pretty dangerous as it’s so close to the main road and also no shower house. The lake is serene, but as bike riders, there’s no real place to ride bike. We had to call and get permission from owners of posted property adjacent to the park,, it is very close to a major county Road a lot of road noise a lot! Rules state, no rugs or mats on the grass I understand the reasoning behind it, but having dogs and others that do not wipe their feet track grass and debris in your camper. They are grass lots, no pads for camper or picnic table or door I did see other campsites that had mats and carpets out not sure who the rule applies to. We followed it. Read the rules carefully!
Extremely disappointed we were traveling and pulled in very quietly at 11:30pm. Pulled into a site then a man came up and told us we could not stay. We explained we would not unhook or put jcaks down just wanted to stay for the night. Although we were already pulled into a site he made us leave. Would not recommend this place to anyone very heartless uncaring people unwilling to help a family that was exhausted and traveling late.
Very nice park on a small beautiful lake. Owners were very welcoming and friendly! Their club house had a pool table, books and puzzles, as well as nice bathrooms for guests. We would stay again.
This is a hidden gem. We stayed for two nights. The sites are level and spacious with full hook-ups. The owner was very helpful checking us in and helping us get set up. The park is beautiful and if we're in the area again we would love to stay there.
Very nice campground, easy on off the highway. Friendly, helpful hosts. Perfect for that one night rest stop or longer.
