This is a wonderful campground heavily shaded by Ponderosa Pine and frequented by various wildlife. While for most of the year this campground is secluded, the closer it gets to fall, the more people you will find there. There are nine camp sites. To my knowledge, each have a picnic table, fire ring, grill, and bench. Further, there is potable water at the site and restrooms. While I do not have horses, this campground seems to be a supreme place to bring horses (provided they can handle being driven out here). By camping here, you can easily make it to Ellen Peak for a quick two hour hike. In fact, if you're going to camp here, you should hike Mt. Ellen. Few places afford such astounding, expansive views.

A great location, but f you go, find out first if the water is on and potable.

Very nice camp ground secluded in the Henry mountains with vault toilets, picnic tables and charcoal grills as well as water! Probably one of the nicest secluded camp spots we’ve come across, not the easiest to get to probably why it’s so nice!
