Meadow Lake Park Introduce
Meadow Lake Park, a cherished family-owned campground located in the scenic countryside of Wooster, Ohio, stands as a prime example of a versatile destination within the "Campgrounds & RV Parks" category. Since its establishment in 1980, and now under new ownership by The Hall Family who are actively engaged in significant upgrades, Meadow Lake Park consistently strives to offer a high standard of excellence. It provides a harmonious blend of peaceful outdoor living with family-oriented fun, catering to a diverse clientele seeking relaxation, recreation, and community in a natural setting.
The environment at Meadow Lake Park is defined by its quiet and tranquil setting, designed to help visitors "disconnect to reconnect." Spanning a significant acreage, the park features a beautiful 6-acre lake on-site, serving as a central hub for various water-based activities and offering picturesque views from many campsites. The landscape includes open spaces, shaded areas under mature trees, and grassy sites, providing a varied aesthetic and ample room for campers. While offering a serene countryside retreat, the park is conveniently located near the Pymatuning area in Pennsylvania, making it accessible to a broader range of attractions and natural wonders. The ongoing "Upgrade Mode" by the new owners signifies a commitment to enhancing the park's visual appeal and overall environmental quality, with plans to make it even more family-oriented and inviting. The overall atmosphere is peaceful and conducive to relaxation, encouraging guests to immerse themselves in nature and enjoy a break from daily stresses.
Meadow Lake Park offers a comprehensive range of services and goods to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. For RV enthusiasts, there are numerous spacious sites, including both 30-amp and 50-amp electric hookups. Some sites are "Red Carpet" sites, featuring concrete patios and fire pits with water views, strategically located in the heart of the park. "Deluxe" sites offer all essential amenities but may not include a grey water hookup at every spot, though pump-out services and a self-service dumping station are available. "Premium Lakefront" sites provide full amenities and direct views of the lake. All RV sites are generally spacious and can accommodate vehicles up to 50 feet long. For those without an RV, the park offers cedar log cabins for rent, providing a more rustic yet comfortable lodging option. While specific details on cabin amenities are not extensively detailed, the presence of cabins expands accommodation choices. Essential facilities include first-class restrooms and hot showers, which are consistently highlighted in reviews for their cleanliness and maintenance, a key indicator of the park's commitment to guest comfort. A laundry room is also available on-site, providing convenience for longer stays. The park features a general store, which is typically stocked with ice cream, firewood, and other basic camping necessities. Wi-Fi access is available, though some reviews suggest it can be spotty in certain areas, encouraging a balance between connectivity and disconnection. Pets are welcome at Meadow Lake Park, though some restrictions may apply, ensuring that furry family members can join the camping adventure. Dump stations are available, and pump-out services are offered for a fee, adding to the convenience for RV campers.
The features of Meadow Lake Park are designed to provide a wide array of recreational activities, particularly catering to families. The 6-acre on-site lake is a primary feature, offering opportunities for swimming, fishing (a popular activity), and potentially non-motorized boating. For children, a well-maintained playground is available, along with various indoor games like a game room with a pool table. Outdoor sports facilities include a basketball court and horseshoe pits, and shuffleboard. The park emphasizes "simple fun," creating an atmosphere where families can enjoy classic camping activities. Beyond the immediate campground, Meadow Lake Park's location offers access to a wealth of nearby attractions. It is just minutes from the expansive Pymatuning Reservoir, Shenango River, Hartstown Swamp, Conneaut Lake, and Crystal Lake, providing even more opportunities for fishing, boating, and exploring natural wetlands. Local attractions like Ramseyer Farms and the charming Amish countryside offer unique cultural and recreational experiences within a short drive. The park also hosts special events and live music, particularly on weekends, fostering a lively community atmosphere. These events can vary but often include family-friendly activities. The commitment to regular upgrades by the new owners means that visitors can anticipate continuous improvements to amenities and activities, aiming to enhance the overall guest experience.
In terms of promotional information, Meadow Lake Park clearly communicates its appeal as a family-friendly destination focused on relaxation and outdoor enjoyment. Rates are provided for various site types, with "Red Carpet" sites generally at a higher price point (around $65/night for both 30-amp and 50-amp) and "Deluxe" and "Premium" sites at a slightly lower rate (around $50/night), often depending on the amperage and water view. The park emphasizes its commitment to being a "fun and clean atmosphere," attracting guests who value well-maintained facilities and a peaceful environment. Booking is encouraged by phone or through online platforms like Campspot. The park's website often highlights its "Coming Soon" tab, detailing future upgrade plans and generating excitement for returning visitors. While specific discount programs (e.g., military, senior, or club affiliations) are not explicitly detailed in the provided information, the focus is on competitive pricing for the amenities offered. The park's close proximity to Wooster, Ohio, and attractions like the Amish countryside is a key selling point for local users and those seeking a blend of natural retreat and regional exploration. Reviews from campers frequently commend the friendly owners and seasonal residents, contributing to a welcoming community feel, which serves as a powerful form of organic promotion. I have been camping here for over 5 years and the new owners are just as amazing as bill was, it sure is different without bill but the new owners have made me feel very welcomed, I came in from Arizona and before I got here they had me a spot and they went above and beyond to help me get all set up and made sure all my stuff worked. They set me up in the rain and did not complain not once. I will be coming here for years to ce for sure, I will recommend this place to anyone, let me add there are LOTS of changes here all for the GOOD! come see for yourself!! Thank all for being so kind and loving
Cozy and comfortable...family, fun, friendly...gr8 vibe...safe and close to convience...its the one for good people, clean fun, let the good times roll....thank you Hall Family💯🌻👍
I'm a new seasonal camper here and really like Meadowlake, the owner Ron is surpassed by none and was really helpful prior to me coming here answering all my questions or directing me to who could. It stays very quiet here for a relaxing evening even when park is full for holidays. Very pet friendly for responsible owners. UPDATE: New owners purchased the park from Ron. I like the husband he is very nice the wife lies so much she can't keep up. Said we could have a friends lot who moved out, called with in an hour so of him saying he won't be back. She said I could move to the lot and have it, then called me back a week later and said I can't have it they are "going to work on the lot and no one would even be able to get in the lot until June" at least. I get there May 2nd and she gave the lot to someone else. I am very easy to get along with and for me to be upset enough to correct a review is saying something. Until I get an apology and explanation of why she did that this review for me will stay like this. You can't keep a solid retention of campers if you will lie or constantly be short with them because you have a busy week or bad day or tell people something them retract it. That's not how good business works. Integrity is the most valuable thing a person has that costs you nothing to own.
I’ve known Ron & Corrine most of my life. Although I’ve not visited in many years I was cruising on google maps and did a cyber visit and was shocked to see the reviews left by a small group of campers. Ron has always worked very hard to keep the campground well groomed. I know Ron & Corrine to be friendly and articulate. Ron has dealt with the public his entire life as a musician. I’ve never known him to be anything less than professional when conducting business. The park is clean and the improvements I witnessed on my cyber visit are impressive. I love the tree art. I’ve had many an evening with the both of them sitting around a fire and having conversation and laughing as we enjoyed Coccia Pizza. I know them to be honest and generous. So, I have a hard time believing the tirade those bad reviewers left.
Exceeded our expectations!!! Staff and campers are all so friendly! Quiet campground with a lot of retirees. Most have been here 5-15+ years! Looking forward to more memories!
