I would love to say we were happy at this campground but it would not be true. We showed up an hour early to check in due to the impending rain we wanted to get in and set up before it down poured. First let me say the staff who checked me in were not friendly At All , no Hi welcome to KOA nothing it was girl at desk with another woman and this was the tone " Name? ( gave her my name) what's your name again ( told her again) , have you been here before ? ( no we have not ) well your an hour early there will be a $3.00 charge due to you being so early. SERIOUSLY I just paid $343.00 to stay at this campground and now your charging me extra just because I'm an hour early. Then to add insult to injury they charge you a $10.00 deposit on their key fobs that they hand out for the gate entrance ( I was aware of that as I read it but not aware I would be charged due to being early) And I might add the key fob is POINTLESS as any time we entered back into the park someone was in the gate house and opened the gate for us. When I asked how I would get our $10.00 back when we returned the fob when we checked out ( as we normally get on the road by 7am ) I was told there will be envelopes outside the door leave your fob in the one with your name on it and we will mail you your money back. Now I have to say we are avid campers and have frequented quite a few KOA campgrounds and we have never ever been charged extra for being early and we always have been given a gate code at ck in to go in and out of the park. Our site which I thought was a little set back from the pavilion that was adjacent to the site we had (P30) was not it was literally right on top of the pavilion my back was to the picnic tables and steps away from it the whole time. The group that came in behind us over took the entire pavilion the whole entire time we were there , if we had wanted to use it due to the rain that wasn't happening as they had kids toys and their garbage laying all over the inside and out. The thing that really ticked me off was the fact that we were charged to enter into this campground early but when we got to our site I spent the better part of 25 minutes picking up garbage off of our site , plastic silverware, candy wrappers , beer bottle tops , and cigarette butts. I have never been so disappointed in a KOA before especially considering we had just spent 4 days at Lake Erie State Park and it was priced a lot lower and the park was immaculate. The only staff member I encountered that was even remotely pleasant was the young woman who I checked out with this morning on 9/8/24 , we were due to stay until 9/9/24 but were by now tired of looking at the garbage lying in the pavilion behind us and dealing with rude people. The gentleman that picked up our garbage I made it a point to thank him and he looked at me and never said a word got back in his golf cart and literally peeled the thing out. I understand its the end of the season and some of these people have worked all summer for the campgrounds but if your not going to be pleasant then maybe this place needs to rethink their staff choices next year. It is a very large park and the bathrooms are clean I will give it that , but we will not return to this campground it put a very bad taste in our mouths. Oh and by the way this was my Birthday weekend and its pretty sad that we could not wait to leave to get home.

This was the first time I came here. It wasn't too bad. My kids had fun swimming in the pool, pond, and creek. But besides that, be aware of all of the drunk people driving around on golf carts. U can even go to the store there and get a wine slushies with a shot of vodka, and they don't ID here, not a good look .I witnesses 2 girls that looked like they were 16 have the lady behind the counter made them a wine slushie very unsafe not to mention local law enforcement know what is going on here and will do nothing about it seeing how the chief has a year around camp site here I guess as long as they r included they don't care...KEEP YOUR KIDS SAFE

While staying we had a family emergency in the evening causing my brother and my mom to have to switch out cars. Because the car switched was not registered to the site, it was towed down the street and cost $300+ to get back. They stated every weekend they have their tow trucks come through the parking lot looking for cars to tow here, like vultures. (I wonder if the tow company is owned by friends/family) The parking lot is very big and no where near full capacity. There is one tiny sign in front of the parking lot stating the lot will be towed; said sign is easy to miss. When the situation was explained, they could offer no resolution besides “sorry.” I don’t think anyone expects to go camping with family for a weekend in Medina and have their car towed. Be forewarned that this is the type of place you will be staying at and don’t let your guard down, even though you are supposed to be camping and relaxing. Read every sign and all fine print carefully.

Terrible customer service . Drove all morning to check out this campground out to see if it’s where my family and I would be signing up for seasonal rental. Upon my arrival, I was told I could not purchase a guest pass because I had my dog with me. We were originally invited by friends that have campsites on the property and were told to bring our dog since it was “dog weekend” . The front desk turned us away without giving it a second thought. If you’re looking for a campground with Hospitality this is not it.

I had a lot of fun this weekend despite the weather on Saturday. Great service and the music was amazing. Shout out to the band Live "N" Kickin and the first responders that participated in the parade this weekend. Very children friendly. So many varieties of activities for everyone .

I’ve been camping here at the Medina koa for years and this place has always exceeds my expectations. All of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and always try their best to help with anything and everything. They have all sorts of activities such as live music, golf cart parades, movie nights, and so much more. I highly recommend camping here with your families and friends!! Looking forward to my next stay!

Reading all the reviews I won’t ever go here or take my kids here. You guys need to get your stuff together. Putting kids in jeopardy like that w serving alcohol, getting cars towed and everything else. What a terrible place to go too.
