RV Park. Stacy was a great first greeter. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and inviting. The office and laundry were spotless. Cleanest laundry since MN private or public. Oscar was friendly and shared his knowledge regarding Louey. All the staff were great. Love this place. Highly recommend.
Fantastic site for folk with children, lots for them to do, pool, splash pad, petting zoo, shame we didn't have any with us. Slight mix up with booking, we ended up with a back in site with electricity, water, but no sewer, rather than a pull through full hook up. Worked out, but not our first choice as we were only staying 2 nights. There is a dump station on the way out to use. The only noise at night was the oak tree dropping acorns on the RV roof. Great place for folk with children
Great campground. I was a bit concerned about the condition of the campground after reading some reviews on Google. But after making my 2 night visit with my family we were do glad we came. The campground does have some years on it but the new management is clearly working to make improvements. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the bathrooms and pools. The grounds are kept clean. Lots of activities for the family. Nice small private pond where you can fish, hiking trails, disc golf, mini golf, pools, playground, rc track and even more. They have events and competitions in October for Halloween decoration and carving along with an ice cream social. We booked one of the 3 sites that have a hot tub. Unfortunately when we arrived the water was not hot. I let Oscar know about the water not being hot and he was quick with a solution to the problem. Within the hour Oscar had the tub hit and ready to go. Really went out of his way to ensure the issue was resolved. Pools and hot tubs were tested daily for water quality and they have a nice little store to grab most items you may need. You can even catch the skunk train from the campground. Yes there were things thay were not operational like the cable TV. No big deal for us. But I must say that Oscar and Kari were great to deal with and easy to talk to. I learned Oscar is the new manager of the campground and you could really tell he was passionate about improving the campground and ensuring his guests have a memorable time. We will be back and look forward to seeing what's new and improved. Great location that makes you feel in nature, but the town of willits is just minutes away. Travis
We were excited to bring our family to Mendocino Redwoods RV Resort for some quality time in nature. Upon arrival at 12:40 PM, we learned that our site was ready, but an early check-in fee would be required for us to access it just 20 minutes early. When I inquired about letting the kids use the playground while we waited, the property manager informed us that it wouldn’t be possible unless we paid the fee. Determined to make the most of our visit, we requested a propane fill-up to pass the time. Thankfully, the staff were helpful, and one team member assisted us while the kids waited in the van. We appreciated their efforts! Once we settled in, we discovered the pool was refreshing but not heated, and unfortunately, the hot tub was off-limits for anyone under 18. The kids were disappointed when they learned this after their first chilly plunge! Although the WiFi signal was strong throughout the grounds, we had trouble accessing the internet. The staff mentioned they were planning to improve this in the future, which we hope will happen soon. Another surprise was the requirement to hand over my driver’s license to borrow putters and golf balls for mini-golf. This felt a bit excessive, especially since many places simply ask you to sign a waiver. It made us a little uneasy, considering our licenses are from out of the country. Overall, Mendocino Redwoods has wonderful potential—a beautiful setting, lovely grounds, and fantastic family amenities like playgrounds, splash pads, mini-golf, a petting zoo, and more. However, we found some policies to be a bit strict and inflexible. With a few adjustments, this resort could be an even more welcoming destination for families.
Our first Rv experience came here because of all the activities it had thought it would keep our grandson and 13year old busy. Playground next to the animal sanctuary was so weathered and dirty it was crazy not maintained, splash pad was dirty and not on,golf course is fallen apart and dirty. They had no cable and didn’t tell us when we arrived after we tore our RV apart thinking something was wrong. They say dogs need to be on leash ours was but no one else’s and I don’t know how many dogs ran up on our dog. Volleyball net was not available for use which was upsetting. Positive thing’s nice trails to hike disc golf was fun, pool was sparkling clean laundry room is cheap bathrooms were clean as well if only they had a place to set your clothes when u get out the shower and it’s quiet.
