Merry Knoll Campground

If you're looking for a great atmosphere with the kindest people in the world as the owners then this is definitely the place for you to go and relax and enjoy camping with your family or friends. They have a beautiful in-ground pool that is always crystal clear to swim in. Very nice clean campground at all times. Jim the owner is one of the nicest guys and is very helpful with everyone that passed through. Highly recommend this five star campground.

My family spent Memorial Day weekend at Merry Knoll Campground. I cannot say enough about the owners and their willingness to go the extra mile to make our stay a memorable one. The campground is family friendly, and the seasonal campers were kind and a pleasure to spend the weekend with. I highly recommend a visit to Merry Knoll if you plan to be in the area.

Very rude, had a family emergency gave 24 hrs. notice on having to cancel our 2nd night and was told we stilled owe for it the it's 30 day notice and cash only. Never was told this and its not on this site the owner said she doesn't put it on the site. She later called me back and told me the camper we rented was not available for us she felt I was rude and we were not welcome at the campgrounds. Be careful going there it's up to her how the rules are played out because it's not in writing. We lost our $100. deposit and she was very nasty/ rude to me on the phone. We were all packed and ready to go the one night but was told by owner NOT to come the camper wasn't available to us.

Due to the hot weather (needing a/c for our dog) we had to cancel our reservation at a nearby state park. Merry Knoll was centrally located for our needs and a great alternative! The staff were very attentive and the seasonal residents were among the friendliest we've encountered! The bathrooms and laundry facility were very clean - some of the cleanest we've ever seen in a campground. RV sites are close together, but this is a prime location on the St. Lawrence River. It's close to so many nearby activities and dining options. Check out the historic building (now a distillery) just a few doors down.

We visited 2 years ago for some school shopping in Watertown and to get away for a few nights. They had a BBQ while we were staying there and they invited us to join. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Any info we needed, they had ready for us. The cabins are spacious for being cabins. The view at the water is breathtaking. We've been meaning to go back, just haven't made it down that way yet again. But my kids still say that was one of their favorite memories, so we will be back.
