Merry Meadows Recreation Farm

There are too many rules that take away from a campground , family vacation. I have no problems with rules as they are a part of life. However when I see so many people breaking all the rules of no fire, no electric bikes/scooters or golf carts if you are not a permanent site, I have to question. I often book multiple sites for other camping friends of mine and this time after many years I was told, after arriving, I cannot do that due to insurance regulations? After dozens of visits I am unsure that I want to return. This was 10/24-10/27.

Don't waste your time or money on this campground. If you do come, make sure you leave yourself an hour plus to check in. The only thing you don't have to provide at check in, is a blood sample (surprisingly). Once you get checked in, make sure you have plenty of cash. You will be nickeled and dimed your entire stay. Example, my parents came to see the grandchildren for a couple hours, and the guest pass fee for them was $20 per person (for a Halloween weekend). That was explained but it doesn't negate the outrageous fees (for providing absolutely nothing) as if two senior citizens (68 years old +) will be doing anything of significance. It was a complete money grab.

Me and my little family stayed here for 3 days, 2 nights. The atmosphere was cozy and homely. Very clean, I rode my bike all through the grounds and didn’t see not one piece of trash. They keep the grassy areas perfectly trimmed, even on the trails. I could not believe how beautiful and well kept it was there. I was able to use their Wi-Fi all throughout the property while on the trails too! Lots of family activities, we didn’t get to take part in as they were closed during our stay but it all looked fun! We will absolutely be going back in the summer time so we can get the full experience, however, just the few nights we had were absolutely perfect, and I could not have wanted for more! Also, be sure to check out the little shop by the gate, I forgot soo many items due to never camping before and they had just about everything you could ever need lol. *My Room Rating is based off of what we seen as we had brought our own camper with us.*

We tent camped here and the site we was perfect for everything we needed. Close to the park for my kids as well as the bath house. Reasonable price for kids activities and at the snack bar for when we were at the pool. Staff was great and very welcoming.

It's a decent place but unfortunately I do feel that the charge too much for what it is. No disrespectful intentions..... they were very nice.
