A very nice and quite campground. We had spacious site 15 (dry camping, which was perfect). The views are outstanding. We met a couple of nice people up there. The restroom was amazingly clean. The campground is operated on a first-come-first-serve basis, so come early, it fills up quickly.
Very nice campground. There is no dump station, but it has sites with electricity & water. There is a sign at the check-in station that disclosed that the water is not safe for drinking.... some sites are dry campsites. Sadly, most of those are not big enough for our 33ft 5th wheel. Solar should be great in most sites. We had to rely on Starlink Satelite to reach the outside world: absolutely no cell signal. We were told by other campers that the nearest cell signal can be reached in Mimbres. Biggest advice: use Hwy 35 via Mimbres to get here with anything bigger than a van or maybe any rv no longer than 25 ft. We drove Hwy 15 to Silver City and back in our 22-foot full-size truck. It is stunning, having lived in CO for years it was not scary at all, but be aware that the locals drive that road like a race track, including around the many blind curves.... To get to the lake takes a bit of a hike or a drive to the day use area. We met some fishermen who told us it was good fishing there....
Gorgeous campground. Got great views and is very quiet at night. It’s got the best and cleanest restroom I have seen till now In campgrounds. The drive up to the campground is a little dangerous so be cautious. Very close to Lake Roberts and is accessible by a short walk.
No dump station. Minimal hookups. No water available at the fish cleaning station by the lake. No host is available. RV sites are extremely uneven, almost impossible to safely leval RV. This campground is in serious need of TLC! Won't be going back.
Loved it here. Camp hosts were amazing!!! Very helpful. This campground is quiet with a capital Q! Scenic drive from either direction (if pulling a camper, I do not suggest SR15 in the snow or rain (one lane and hairpin turns).
