I went here to evacuate from Hurricane Helene. I traveled with 6 people and our two cats. The location of the hotel itself was great: centrally located around restaurants, shopping, and parking wasn't bad. The room itself was another story. I couldn't sleep the first night because of the very strong, mold and mildew smell. The fridge in the room was actually covered in it on the outside. We were moved upstairs to another room the next morning without any issues. The 2nd room had the mold and mildew smell in the hallway, not in the actual room. The room was clean, but I didn't dare walk barefoot on the floors! Seems like the carpets there have never had a good cleaning/vacuuming. The staff was very friendly and highly recommended the breakfast. They had hot breakfast sandwiches, cereal, fruit, juice, and of course coffee. The lobby was always clean and stocked with guest amenities.
Nice clean but small room Comfortable beds. Everything was fine till a drunk couple in the next room had a fight at 3 o'clock in the morning. Called the front desk twice, their response was less than stellar.
Pictures don't match the actual rooms so don't be fooled by them, it really is a micro hotel room, barely room to move. The breakfast is a joke, literally a jimmy dean breakfast sandwich that you have to heat up yourself and a pancake machine that no one will tell you how to operate, so don't expect a hot breakfast. They also didn't clean our room or make the bed and change sheets, there was a horrible mold smell in the bathroom. The only good thing about this hotel is it's location and the fact that it's cheaper than other hotels in the area, still not really worth it though.
I don't get the bad reviews for this place. We had a great experience. Location was great, our room was very clean and we very much enjoyed ourselves. Our only "complaint" was the complimentary breakfast. There wasn't a lot of hot foods like many hotels, but it is "complimentary, so not a deal breaker.
Tbh it was perfect. Right were we needed to be. 10 minutes from the beach and 20 from my family that lives here. Somewhat in the middle. Was not hard to find it get into. Grocery store not even a 5 minute walk along with restaurants next to the grocery store. Gave us fresh towels daily. Staff was very friendly and courteous. I would definitely stay here again
