Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Rehoboth Beach

First, the positive points of the experience. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful & accommodating. If it wasn’t for the staff, I’d be writing a much different & negative review. I’m grateful for the assistance I received. The location was great, located behind the Tanger Outlets on the north side. Parking was convenient & easily accessible. With that said, now what I felt was very disappointing. The accessible room had major downfalls. To gain access through the hotel room, the door albeit wide enough, it was too heavy to open without help. The bathroom had a commode that was too low. Even though the bathtub was low, it was still difficult to maneuver. The bench in the tub was also way too low to be useful. I did appreciate the room not having carpets which made the room easy to get around. The beds were low enough to get into which was another plus. Finally for my two night stay, there was no service to the room. Therefore no clean towels, toilet paper replenishment or emptying of trash. Again, I’ll reiterate, the staff was extremely responsive & helpful upon my request.

My wife & I stayed at Microtel for the Rehoboth Jazz Festival. The stay was pleasant. The room was clean and nice for what it was. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The location for shopping was excellent. The jazz fest venues were all within a 10 min drive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Microtel.

I stayed for an entire week and no one cleaned my room, emptied trash, or restocked toilet paper. They do not have smart tvs, you're stuck with basic cable. Pool closed. Besides that the beds are comfortable, the rooms are spacious, nice bathroom, overall the hotel seems clean. My room was about a 15-20' walk from the elevator and around the corner. You can here the elevator motor everytime someone uses it even while watching TV. Being here in the off-season for work, it would be nice to have a smart TV so I could cast one of my streaming apps. I will update this review as I will likely spend another 2-3 weeks here.

My husband and I arrived for a 4 day stay as an anniversary weekend getaway. We love the area and travel to Rehoboth / Dewey Beach every summer. I am a Wyndham rewards member and we are both professionals in the service industry. The location and brand attracted us to this site. The hotel is newer and met our needs. We stayed in a King sized suite on the top floor; the room was peaceful and quiet. The bed was comfortable. The shower was hot, water pressure was good, room was clean and well stocked. We got to use the pool which was refreshing as the temperatures soared above 90 degrees. The staff was very accommodating. We plan on returning.

This review is a little different than most. I’m writing to say their front desk person, Athan, is fabulous. I became ill and was unable to make my trip. It was a non refundable room and I didn’t have the energy to even cancel the room. When I didn’t check in, Athan called to make sure I was okay. He was so kind and made me forget for a few moments that I was missing out on a fun, long planned trip with friends. My friends said he asked how I was feeling when they checked out. So nice. Even though all I really know about this hotel is that my friends tell me it was great, I’ll definitely book another stay at this hotel just based on Athan and management that hires employees with top notch customer service.
