Middle Creek Campground

My children and grandchildren and I spend our family vacation here every year and we all love it. We just spent our sixth year here last week. The pool, the pond, the stars, many choices for hiking, Blue Ridge Mountains. The kids love being outdoors. They ride their bikes and explore the creeks. We enjoy each others company around our campfire. They love the gift shop.We have so much fun . Over the weekend was karaoke and then also an awesome country band. We look forward to it every year. What makes it extra special is the family who owns it. Susan is welcoming and a joy to talk to.All the staff is friendly and polite. Thanks for another year of memories!! I also want to say that since we tent camp it is convenient to have a covered pavilion by the pool to use in case it rains and there are private bathrooms and showers which are really nice to use.

We’ve always loved Middle Creek. It’s been our hideaway spot for several years. Never had a problem. However this time after paying for a month we were told to leave after a week simply because we were tarpping our camper due to the 4 plus inches of rain that’s coming. It was only a temporary fix until the rain was gone so we could fix it properly. Very sad that this happened. We loved it there.

Places about 5 - 6 Mi off of Highway 81 , the place is run down and not very well taken care of. Definitely needs a lot of attention. It's in the woods very nice area, thier is a creek running through it and a pool & a playground . The check in and store needs to be fixed up to!

This campground more than exceeded our expectations. The swim pond with the inflatable obstacle course is SO much fun and SO clean! The kids were all so friendly and played together all afternoon. I’m pretty sure the pool is salt water. Also very clean. I love that it starts at one foot and goes down to 8. Makes for a better place for the small kids to play. The playground is low to the ground and also good for younger kids but still had our 8 year old occupied for a bit. The campsite was beautiful and well kept. Right by a creek! They have a restaurant inside their office and the food was SO GOOD. We ended up having lunch and breakfast and both were great. The staff was friendly and helpful. Campsites are a bit tight for tents but we rented the group site and it was perfect for 2 families. And SUPER affordable. All in all. 10/10. We will be coming back! (Don’t waste your money on the big name campground in Natural Bridge. We’ve been there several times. After coming here, we won’t be back)

Took the nephews out camping, this is a remote and quiet place, at least in our stay. Fairly lax grounds, just a few basic and common sense rules. We rented an RV spot as theyre across from the pond. The spots are smaller than expected but sufficed for our needs. I took a walk around the grounds and Ill say stay out of the back grounds, hopefully this is part of their renovations, uncut grass, dirt and rocky. We were under the impression of a stocked pond, perfect for the younger kids to hook into something decent. Out of the 8 people that fished regulary for the 3 days I saw 2 small bass come out and I caught about 5 palm sized perch leaving much to be desired there. Kids and dad caught nothing. I tried my hand on the Jennings on the way out making me believe this is very much a seasonal spot when they stock the nearby streams. Thr camp store has a bit more than basic needs which was nice and the main bathrooms were very clean. All in all, a quiet place to escape but didnt hit the mark on what we were looking for for a return.

An absolutely excellent campground set back in beautiful woodland. They were lovely to us when we got caught behind a bad accident and had to arrive late. The showers are also gloriously hot. The ideal camping experience.

Middle Creek campground is The best little campground I travel and staying campgrounds for work Susan and Matt were awesome and the camp host Deborah is outstanding we love it so much we keep coming back and we'll be back again Thank you so much
