Midland LTVA is about 9 mi north of Blythe, paved road all the way. The LTVA is very large and open..little shade. There is a host onsite and you can purchase LTVA stickers at the host trailer, cash or check...goes in an iron ranger locked box. Limited cell on TMobile. Dumpsters and a RV black tank dump...but NO DUMP RINSE WATER AND NO POTABLE WATER. Only self contained RVs are allowed, so the rules note. Lots of room, not very crowded end of Jan, Blythe has a nice Albertsons grocery and there is even a Starbucks in town on the corner turn to go ahead put of town north to the LTVA. Only 3 stars due to NO POTABLE WATER, however it is much quieter than others!
Very quiet and serene. Zero highway noise. This place is beyond quiet. Lots of wildlife roams around the area. Park was clean and had a sewer dump and garbage service. Definitely will camp here again. The star gazing was top notch because it's ten miles from town so nothing interfered with the night sky . I really enjoyed my stay. The park host ,Myron was knowledgeable and very nice. One of my favorite BLM camps ever.
Camp host is fantastic. We loved how much room there is here. Dump and area are very clean. Would be 5 stars if they had portable water available.
Awesome spot…no water available but very quiet place
What a privilege to stay on our public lands. Midland is the ultimate LTVA for us. Close to town for supplies and Post Office. Get a permit, pick a area and check in with the host, Byron. Follow the rules and you'll have an experience beyond words... Sunrise.. sunset.. stars.. P. S. Byron the host is knowledgeable of the area. He's there to answer questions and lead an example of how to use your public ground. Midland LTVA is for us. If you want sol
Wide open spaces. Maybe 25 rigs on lots and lots and lots of open desert. Has a dump station only no fresh water. Very quiet maybe one truck or two an hour. If you camp far enough from the road you don't hear a sound. Surrounded by beautiful hills and washes. Standard BLM campground fees. $40 for two weeks - renewable. About $180 for the season. Season and two week pass good at all LTVA sites.
