Here’s what our happy campers have to say:

  • "My family and I go camping here at least once a year. It’s our yearly vacation spot. Absolutely AMAZING views from the sites. RV and tent sites available - we have gone camping here in tents and RVs at almost every site they have and it is never a let down! Hot showers available 24/7, clean bathrooms - for being isolated in the mountains. Owners, staff, and fellow campers are always so friendly and welcoming. Always recommend people to check it out! This place is our home away from home 🫶"
  • "I've stayed at Mile High Campground several times now. The best feature is the amazing views you get from almost every site. The campground itself is a bit 'rustic', which to me is a primary part of its charm. But what really makes it worth staying is how quiet and peaceful it is to sit in your site with a fire going and watch the light constantly change the views of the Great Smokey Mountains as the sun goes down."
  • "The bathrooms and showers aren't much to speak of; they're basically just painted plywood, dimly lit, but there's plenty of hot water, so you can get a good shower to make you feel human after a while of camping on the road. The views and peaceful serenity are really what it's all about."

Experience the beauty and tranquility of Mile High Campground Office. Whether you're seeking adventure or simply a peaceful retreat, our campground is the perfect destination. Contact us today to book your stay and create unforgettable memories in the Great Smoky Mountains.

Absolutely loved loved loved Mile High Campground. Location was great since it was pretty isolated from the big city, yet close enough to make a quick 20 min drive to the surrounding towns nearby for any emergency supply runs. The staff was so kind and friendly, they checked up on me and gave me some pointers for camping! I can’t wait to be back! Make sure you book your campsite a few months in advance, September was the perfect month to go camping here. P.s. I do not recommend low riding vehicles here, I found out the hard way.

We just went through and viewed this campground. It is up in the mountains so larger rigs may not fit too well here. There are multiple sites that have AMAZING views and the last tent site needs a high clearance vehicle to get into it but oh my goodness the view that you will wake up to is amazing. We are planning on camping there. They do close in early October so plan accordingly. Travel there is up the Blue Ridge Parkway. Enjoy

The views were absolutely breathtaking. We found the tent campsite clean and ready to enjoy. The staff were very helpful and friendly. As was everyone we came in contact with. If you're looking to escape the heat. We woke up to 61° weather in July! This is the perfect place!
