Customer Reviews
Veteran owned and operated, Miles Landing Campground is a tranquil place to RV, to tent camp, or to stay in their onsite primitive cabin. With reasonable rates, too. We reserved and chose our spot by visiting their website. Prepaid, too, so you don't have to do anything but arrive and go straight to your selected spot. We chose pull thru 30/50 amp full hookup site 26, which was level and quite a bit longer than our travel trailer and tow vehicle. It also had a fire ring and a picnic table. Firewood is available from a lean-to closer to the entrance of the campground. Trash bins as well as a dump station is in that area, too. Just past the entrance is Milestone Event Center which can be reserved for receptions, parties, or other functions. Pet friendly. Very pleasant, helpful owner. Thank you!
It's decent enough for an extended stay but better for just an overnight or weekend. Staying here extended due to work in the area and not really anything else to choose from close by. This is our second time here and I will say that it does look like they are making improvements while we have been staying here so hopefully if we need to stay again it will keep getting better. Have always felt safe in this area and it's pretty quiet and wide open. Great restaurants and lots of activities in the surrounding areas also. Great place for fishing trip stays as the area is surrounded by water and tons of fishing on land or on boat is available right here. They also have a small event center area where we have seen several parties and such. The venue looks very nice inside and the building for that is pretty new. Again, seems like a work in progress and can eventually be a 5 star review once things have been finished and grown in. Everything is gravel, so with all the rain they can get here lately the sites and roads are pretty rough. Our site is pretty much all mud and weeds, except for the gravel we are parked on. The gravel is rutted bad from rains when we had to park. This particular site, 40, is a small pond when it rains. I know we can't control mother nature so hopefully sites are improved to accommodate these types of conditions in the future. Site 40 mot a recommended site, especially if you have a dog. There is also no dog park so not a lot to do with your dog when it comes potty time or play time. There is an open field area where some people have had their dog off leash to play fetch, but some tall grass so make sure to check for ticks afterwards. They have been making some improvements while we've been here. They have been bringing in some blacktop chips and rolling that on one section of road. Looks like they are rearranging some sites and new gravel down as of this review. Hopefully the improvements keep moving forward and our next stay will be another star added to this review. Video is from our arrival day in early April, which I will say was bad rains and it had been raining for days. The pictures are from early May with a day or two of scattered rains. Also a picture of the road they are working on. Some sites have beautiful grass area as the one picture shows. Hopefully we can get one of those next time, but seems like those are mostly used for weekenders and overnighters.
Great secluded place away from town. The place can be watery when it rains a lot since the area is near a lake all around but not too bad still a little peace and quiet. Restroom and bath house is provided.
I would have rather given them no stars. When we got there it of course was freezing and the man in front of us his water was frozen. So we put our underpin that we use for the winter up. It’s grey tarp and we use clips to hold it to our rv and we use 2x4 and roll the excess around the 2x4 to hold it down and it doesn’t look bad. Wellllllll the owner comes by and tells us we have to have a company come out and put tthis underpinning on and it cost @ $4,000.00 or you can get insulation board up but you have to paint it black. So I felt as if they had these types of rules they should have been mentioned before we moved there. Also the park has big holes all throughout the roads. It rained and oh what a mess it was. If your staying a night or two probably not a bad place but I would NOT Recommend a month. Especially in the winter!!!!!
what a lovely setting to relax for an overnight on our way through the area it was a very peaceful setting. Our pull through was just perfect and our dog LOVED IT! We were close to Evansville and went down to enjoy a wonderful German meal and then came back home to this lovely rv park that we would highly suggest you visit! Super nice people own it !
