Customer Reviews
Fantastic spot. It’s a relatively easy hike to get there from the Holowell Park trailhead, and it’s a quieter part of the park. I had the site on the edge of the meadow, and it was so nice. Numerous elk stopped by throughout the evening, and I had a great time birding in this area as well. The night sky was also so dark and clear. Much of the surrounding area burned in 2021, but the immediate area around the meadow was relatively unscathed. You can hike up the hill across from the campsites for a great view of Longs Peak and the high country
There are two individual campsite here (7 people or under). Both campsites are great. Right outside of a beautiful swampy meadow. You can often see elk and deer in the meadow. The campsite is within range of some easier day hikes. There is a privy here shared by the two campsites.
Sheltered, flat and spacious campsite that is close to water and a privy. Off the main trail for privacy and quiet.
