Customer Reviews
We only stayed there one night. But it deserves 5 stars because of the service received. The owners were not around but one family member who was there took us around the park to find a spot for the night. The campground is nice. The spot we got had a lot of space between us and the neighbor. And we met the owners the next day. When the time came to pay for the night, I only had Canadian dollars with me (we had just crossed over the evening before). They still gladly took our CAD as payment. We had a great first night in the US. Vermont as a lot of very nice people!
Very great bunch of people Owners are caring and compassionate for their campers and safety Love it here Thank you for letting us stay. It's been a great experience thus far.
Best campground in Vermont! The owners are the kindest, most-welcoming people on the planet. Nothing but fun here for the whole family with lots of beautiful memories to make.
Well to start, I will say that the camp grounds are actually very clean and well maintained, as well as the bathrooms and the pool. The 2 star rating comes from the terrible interactions and attitude issues of whoever is running this place. We drove 3 hours to stay here and we were immediately didn't want to stay. 1. Speed limit is 5 miles an hour. This is not a problem and I was more than happy to accommodate, however even clocking in at a shocking 3MPH I was given the "slow down" hand movements by who I assume to be the owner, and their regulars. (again, happy to do it... But this is ridiculous) 2. Charged for two sites planned for sites to be adjoining and reserved then as such, then we were told they would be split between two ends of the grounds. And upon condensing to 1 site, still did not receive my return on the other side. I don't know if it was an off day, or if the woman we spoke to is always as rude and snobby as she was to us the entire weekend, but had I known the state park had open sites just a few miles up the road we would've gone there prior to even setting up camp after the first interaction. Is it pretty? Sure. Clean? Yes, absolutely. Would I recommend this place to any of my friends? No.
Really disapointed with how we were treated while our short stay, it became unenjoyable to go pretty quickly in with in the first month, non of my family wanted to visit the camp ground because lorry was so rude to them. There was one instance my sister put money in the visit box and she ran after her yelling at her making sure she paid (even though she did) there was several instances very similar to this. Very nosy, and anything you did wrong instead in a polite way she would yell at you. The pool area is dangerous with the cement that had settled so my baby fell a few times and hit her head one day really hard we had to leave. We got yelled at for very petty things. The last draw was I asked them to pump out our tank after 3 months of being there it was only pumped out once and I called Tuesday at 10 in the morning asking for our tank to be pumped because my sister was using our camper she said she will have Doug do that. It didn’t get done so I said something and she said that I had to pay $30 for her to do it and I didn’t see why I would have to pay I’d she forgot and she continued to tell me I should of been put on the list and my husband should of done that I responded with I’m not going to blame my husband when he didn’t know. And she yelled over the phone your going to sit here and blame me? Got her defensive and awful. She was aloud to forget things but we were not in any business if your in the wrong you did that you cover those costs instead of fighting with someone and blaming them on your mistake. Forgetfulness is ok for both parties things happen but you don’t treat people the way we were it’s really not ok. My husband pumped our tank in the pouring rain in the dark. I can’t ever reccomend this place in good faith as long as lorry is the way she is. Doug has been great and we really enjoyed him and I’m sorry if this has affected you. We feel as $2250 has been wasted away.
