Customer Reviews
This is my first negative review, and I felt I needed to leave it even though it happened late Aug, and it is now November. The experience still bothers me. We arrived at the last minute and they could accommodate us, that and their beach were the only good things. Check-in took forever, and while the two young folks working there were polite, it felt like a stern lecture, we had two vehicles, and they were adamant the second needed to be parked in the parking lot. They watched us as we unloaded and asked us 2 times to move our vehicle... the washrooms weren't great but clean enough and closed at night; who does that? I walked my dogs at dusk, along a road beside the beach where it clearly is marked, no dogs on the beach. I abided by this rule, however, they had a garbage can at the corner edge of the beach so I put the dog bags in there and as I was exiting/ at the end of the walk. A vehicle came flying out of nowhere, driving quite quickly for a campground with the head lights on us and yells, you can't have your dogs on the beach! Frankly, it scared me. I didn't know who she was, her vehicle wasn't marked, and she had some rage that needed to be checked. I politely explained my situation, said I was aware and she said I saw you! That's when I had to tell her that she was making me uncomfortable. She yelled I am the owner, and feel free to leave. So I said that won't be happening and in the future identify yourself and have a uniform, I promptly walked away, she followed me. I then turned around and said, this interaction is scary and weird, please leave me alone, my dogs were on guard at this point. Her behavior was so inappropriate on so many levels. I was ready to call the police as I felt harrassed if she continued. She sped off to her unit, two away from ours. We did not feel welcome, went to bed early, and left as fast as possible. Terrible experience.
This campground was perfect for us passing through. Location is close to our travel route, rates are very reasonable, facilities and grounds are VERY clean. Lynne was very accommodating on the phone and set us up to arrive, and Lizzie welcomed us. Customer service is excellent. We will definitely visit again when our travels bring us this way.
Campground was easy to find. We were greeted by a nice young lady who was very helpful. The site was good and it had power/water. It was so nice to walk around and greeted by everyone. The lake was awesome! Dumping was easy to find and use. It was really quiet at night! The bathrooms/showers need to be updated badly.
We (my doggies and I) were very happy to stay at the campground in our tent area. Clean bathrooms, showers and property. Lyne, the person who checked me in and out was so thoughtful and very sweet. Good customer service as well. I highly recommend the campground for the road warriors😃 Rhonda A I had a supper in honor of my dad.
Tom and Lynn were very helpful to us as new RVers. Showed us how to work everything and even gave us a hose that was needed. Location was excellent for being close to Sudbury. Also park was very safe as security was excellent. Thank you for helping us.
