  • Campsite Amenities: All sites, whether for tents or RVs, include a picnic table and a fire ring, perfect for cooking, intimate fireside storytelling, and warmth.
  • Playground: A playground is available, making the campground family-friendly and providing entertainment for younger guests.

  • Community Support: A unique feature is that revenue generated from camping directly supports over a dozen local non-profits, including youth programs, local food drives, and global Lions International initiatives, giving campers a sense of contributing to a good cause.
The campground aims to provide a memorable and engaging experience, blending natural recreation with community spirit.

In terms of promotional information, Mineral Lake Lions Den Campground actively promotes its offerings through its official website (minerallakelions.com), social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram, and partnerships with tourism bodies like Visit Rainier and Campspot. They highlight their status as a non-profit, volunteer-run campground, emphasizing the positive changes and improvements made over the past few years, including cleaner facilities and clearer policies. They encourage guests to leave positive reviews and spread word-of-mouth, stressing that "your voice matters more than ever" to help them grow and counter any negative feedback from individuals who may have been "taking advantage of the space in the past."

Reservations are highly recommended, especially during peak season, and can be made online. Rates vary by site type, with primitive lakeside RV sites and standard RV sites starting at $48 and $52 per night respectively, while lakeside RV sites with water and electric start at $60 per night, and lakeside tent sites with water and electric are $48 per night. Site specifics like amperage (20-Amp, 30-Amp, 50-Amp) and maximum vehicle length (up to 60 feet) are clearly detailed in booking information. The campground is generally open from mid-April through fall, with limited availability during peak summer fishing season. Important rules and policies are clearly communicated, including pet policy (pets are allowed for registered guests, typically three per site, but no guest pets are allowed), check-in/check-out times, visitor policies (must check in, pay a fee, and depart by 9:00 PM), and policies regarding garbage (must be deposited in provided garbage cans) and unused firewood (to be stacked under benches). They also advise bringing an extension cord for certain sites. The overall promotional message focuses on the "beauty of waterfront camping" and the opportunity to "Discover the beauty of the Pacific Northwest," promising a peaceful, fun, and memorable stay while contributing to a worthy cause.

Site type: RV Length of stay: 2 nights Not bad, just not worth the price. The showers are $2 for every 5 minutes and it costs $30 to dump. No one told us this and the information wasn't posted anywhere that made it obvious. The vault toilets were the cleanest I've ever experienced, but they were vault toilets. They'll tell you the dump is a separate business entity, but that doesn't change the fact that no one tells you about the fee until you're about to dump. I noticed the business explained their dump prices were competitive for the area, but they literally have a list of other dump sites within an hour drive in various directions that are all cheaper. This tells me they know their price is higher than most are willing to pay. All the sites are very close together, which is normal in RV parks, but I felt bad for our friends who were tent camping and those sites were SUPER close as well. It is a beautiful drive to Mt. Ranier from there and relatively short. At the end of the day, I wish we had paid the same price for a nicer RV Park.

If you are getting a tent site right next to the lake, then it's awesome. Other than that, the sites are way too close together, they charge to use the showers, they are overpriced even though they will comment on these messages saying they aren't (they say their prices are competitive, but they are comparing themselves to places that actually have those amenities they lack), and they charge you $30 to dump afterwards! Which more importantly, they don't tell you that they charged for dumping until you leave. And they make it sound like it's fine because they have a list of places that you can go dump for cheaper based on where you're headed. But some of those places are an hour away! So in my case, since they didn't tell me this until I pulled up to dump the trailer, I was forced to dump or try to carry full tanks an hour through windy roads.

We stayed here for 2 nights on a visit to Mt Rainier National Park. The campground is on the shores of Mineral Lake. There is a dock for boating, fishing and swimming. The staff was very helpful during check in and always seemed available. Gravel sites were a little close together but we had good neighbors. We were near the boat ramp which made it a little busy but it was also Labor Day weekend. The campground is quiet and has really beautiful views of the lake and surrounding hills. It’s pretty remote but that’s exactly what we were looking for.

This campground is ideal for a visit to Mt. Rainier, but that is the only reason I can or would recommend it. Having no facilities like showers or restrooms, and I do not consider pit toilets a place to rest, your high cost for a campsite does not feel equitable to me. I do not think the Lions Cub would actually attach their brand to this camp as it is not on any par with the sites we are used to finding off the beaten path. At least make an effort people, and quit expounding on how great you are. Put in a couple of toilets at least. And if the high cost of sanitary dumping is so much in your area why not have your high site fee take that into consideration. $30 to use a facility that is free in most RV parks is just too much. If it was included in the site fee we would probably never notice it. Sorry, we will have to look elsewhere next time.
