My new favorite place. Has a little bit of everything for everyone. Lakes, cliffs, picnic tables, aggressive hikes with stunning views. The park is very well preserved and has operating hours. No one is allowed overnight and I believe this might be why the park is in such great condition. Pay 10$ to park at the main lot and $5 for a map.
Beautiful to visit during the fall š. Not a lot of people at the park, and the wearher was beautiful at 70F. Though, clear weather does warrent a pretty dry waterfall. It is still worth the trek to see the trails and lakes there. It's a great place to meditate and feel just how tiny we really are compared to what mother nature has to offer. Be mindful that there aren't many places to sit (like a bench or table), but that doesn't mean you can't sit on the many rocks the forest and mountains has to offer. Trails were spotless with not a single spec of trash on the ground. Coming from Long Island and the city, this was absolutely wonderful š„¹. I don't own a furry friend, but it's a fantastic place to take your dog here to explore as I saw many people bring them here. Both big and small dogs happily walked along side their parents. Parking was alright, the workers will guide your car to park at specific spots too. With your empire pass, admission is free, otherwise it's $10.
Beautiful place that I shared with my wonderful girlfriend. Only $10 to get in, and we chose to hike the two miles around the beautiful lake. The hike is definitely beginner level. Even someone with a bad back can do it! There were many photo opportunities. The hike elevates you way above the lake so you get some beautiful views
Pleasantly surprised by the beauty of this park! So many trails to explore we wish we had more time! Hike over to Gertrudeās Nose, wanted to do the loop but time wasnāt on our side. We canāt wait to go back and spend more time here!
Nature trails around the lake. Parking lots get full and cars line up to get in. Can be a long wait. Visited in the fall and colors were delightful. About 90 miles from lower Manhattan, a 2.5 hrs drive that could get longer with traffic.
