Lovely place and people. Gravel road off Hwy#1 to the camp but lots of room for turnarounds at the site. Didn’t take a photo of our rv site but it was a nice treed area, gravel in the rv area; large grass play area near the cabins and main lodge. A number of year round trailers set up. Used to be an Anglican Church campsite but bought 2 years ago by a friendly energetic couple and a third party and they are updating a lot. Large main building, serves coffee all day, meals at times and have crafts for kids. Supposed to be one of the best salmon fishing rivers in NL. Google location currently not correct, follow the signs.
Booked to stay here but drove in, turned around and left. Road going in is really bad. Couldn't drive on it at anymore thN a crawl. Not good if you are towing a trailer. Sites are all gravel and not appealing Not sure about the washrooms. Tried to check, but they were locked. There are seasonal sites, but the residents were not keeping them up. Looked nasty. Gave it two stars instead of one since the manager seemed nice.
Wonderful, easy going mgmt. New owners and upgrading annually. Prices reasonable , indoor & outdoor activities. Great for kayaking, minutes to GAMBO POND. Ten minutes from town. Growing every year. COME ON SPRING!!
A little rustic but has all amenities. Very clean washrooms and showers in a heated building. Owners are very friendly and in middle of updating the campground. Highly recommend!
Great spot to relax and unwind any time of year. Friendly staff and great amenities. For several years now its nice to see the constant improvements being made. A fantastic family friendly spot to spend a weekend or a season.
