Beautiful place to camp with a cool, clear, running spring. I backpacked in from Hwy. 38 and saw a number of Pacific Crest Trail thru hikers who also spent the night there. There are some metal horse corals, a few with shade and a gravity fed water trough on the others side of the campground. I came back and stayed 3 nights in July and there was still water in the springs and a lot of wild flowers everywhere.
Stopped here after a gruelling day in the mission creek re-entrant. Met up with a ton of other thru and section hikers.
Great spot hikers on the pct go through here around may. It was the best time meeting all the great people.
Nice place for lunch.
