Nice place for an overnight stay. But if your dog is afraid of loud noises, the train will be a problem. It is VERY loud.

Nice campground right on the river. 22 sites with concrete pads, water , picnic tables, fire rings and electric, some with sewer. There is a dump station and trash dumpster. You can make reservations though the police state clerk during business hours. The Mississippi is about 50 yards from the sites so you will be river traffic and it navigates the locks. There is also a train track about 50 yards behind each site, with 5 - 6 trains each day. There are no shower or toilet facilities so you will need to be self contained. When written its $20 per night. Overall a nice stay for several days.

This is a city park with a campground. The location is awesome, we sat outside had dinner and got to watch the barges go through the locks of the dam. There is a nice walking path along the top of levee just south of the park. We had a site with water, electric and sewer and most importantly, SHADE, it was a bit hot and humid in the sun 🌞

By the Big Muddy. Tug boats, dam & levee, railroad, scenic lookout point, Country Market grocery store, restaurants: BBQ, pizza, Mexican, etc., small town, quiet location, old thyme play ground (the best!), RV sites fairly close together, but quiet, quiet, quiet. Really, it’s not fan fare that will attract you here, it’s nature. Young Bald Eagles, bits of fish a bird didn’t finish, trees so huge around, river flowing at a hurried pace. Bring a fishing pole.

RV sites or you might call them spaces (but to be honest we’ve stayed at KOAs that were tighter)just about as close to the river as you can get. Twenty three sites total, 17 are Full hookups rest are water and electric. We had full hookups all worked as the should. All sites are back in on concrete pads with 20/30/50 amp electric. NO restrooms or laundry, they do provide decent WiFi. Dump station and dumpster are available. Playground for the kids. Just a few hundred yards down from the lock and dam great for viewing any barge traffic.

About the closest you can get to the Mississippi River and a lock and dam. Wide open campground, flat concrete pads, somewhat close together.
