Enjoyed a walk on a warm March day. This park has 342 acres in a narrow strip between Highway 64 and the Missouri Bluffs Country Club. The sound of the highway traffic is ever present. There is a spacious picnic shelter, camping for up to 100 campers, and pit toilets. When I visited, the water was turned off (winterized Nov 1 - April 1). There is a Low Ropes Course which requires a Special Use Permit. At the East end of the park when the road makes a sharp right turn and descends steeply, it is Missouri Conservation Department property although there is no signage. At the end of the road, there is a small parking area and a short trail which leads to the KATY Trail State Park which can be biked, hiked, or walked. At that point on the trail, the Weldon Springs Conservation Area is to the right. To the left a few hundred feet is the Monarch Levy Trail Connector which winds around and crosses over the Daniel Boone Bridge for Highway 64. The Berg Cemetery is within the park. It is well fenced with a sign by the Boone-Duden Historical Society. Hopefully, they will add an unpaved trail from the main parking lot to the KATY Trail.

In spite of its size at 342 acres, there isn't a lot to do here. There is a pavilion next to a group camping area with a pit toilet (St Charles County takes good care of those) and a few trails. The ground was wet on the day of my visit so I wasn't able to walk the trails. Also, there was a small lake that looked interesting.

Park is still under development. Looks like it will be a nice park once they complete the hiking trails. I don’t like that it is another St Charles County park that is catering to extreme mountain biking. Looks like lots of trails being added for that and I think it ruins the peaceful atmosphere of being in the woods at these parks. Every park does not have to have every feature.

Wonderful location next the Missouri River. New mtb trails are being built at the moment. I got a sneak peak and they're looking really fun with lots of jumps.

We've never seen camping there but it is easy access to the Katy Trail. There are restrooms, a pavilion with tables and they recently installed a grill. This park also has a low ropes course (must schedule use). This park is a wip (work in progress). It appears they are creating trails and there may be more. 5/18/23 Update: We love lunching here. We see deer, possums, snakes and a wide variety of birds. Also, there are plans for a disc golf course.
