Misty Mountain Camp Resort

A really well-maintained and hospitable campground! My brothers and I came up for the holiday weekend and stayed in one of the cabins. The spot was fairly comfortable and clean. The other guests were fairly respectful and friendly as well. My only complaints would be that it is hard to see the cabin numbers late at night so finding the cabin can be difficult. In addition, the coffee machine in our cabin was quite dirty. Other than these two issues, it was a very pleasant experience!

We've been going to Misty Mountain for about 10 years or more and have always loved everything about it. The wonderful people who work here, the events and activities, the location, and the accommodations are all fabulous. We've done primitive camping, primitive cabins, and regular cabins, and regularly go on a joint trip with a family with an RV and we've all always had a wonderful experience. I'm so grateful to have learned about Misty Mountain and look forward to our annual winter trip here!

Spent three nights at Misty Mountain while visiting our family in North Garden. There were many amenities & planned activities that we didn’t participate in, but looked like fun. The gentleman, who directed us into our site was a magician! The office staff were pleasant and helpful. If you are not a fan of Halloween, then avoid the weekends in October. We will go back…

I've been at this campground a few times with family, but this was the first time I've stayed in the cabins. Reasonably priced, good collection of supplies, good space. My biggest complaint was the beds are rock solid, even as someone who likes firm mattresses. The place could also be cleaned with greater detail, we had spider friends in the shower and dirty in the corners. Some bleach and rags would go along way. Still a great price for a great spot with all the amenities I could need for 3 ladies and 2 dogs.

Unfortunately it rained for our entire stay. But the campground was well done and well maintained. There’s lots to do and see around Charlottesville especially if you like history like I do. Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello is there. Beautiful home! The whole area is a beautiful part of Virginia. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Overall, great place to camp or park your RV!!
