It's a nice campground but FYI it's right next to Route 2 and you can hear the traffic.
Good customer service, camping sites are sufficient. Bathrooms are cleaner than last time I was here but they could always use improvement, I would never shower here. No toilet paper in the stall I was in, so bring your own just in case . Absolutely no phone service, so be prepared for that. Also I have yet to be able to go swimming here, so don’t get your hopes up about that.
One of my favorite places to camp in MA. It's nestled in the mountains so it tends to be a bit cooler than average in the summer. Tons of tent camping sites as well as RV sites. Also has 5 cabins that are available to rent year round. Check early as they go fast. Seriously, you gotta get on ReserveAmerica about 6 months in advance. Gorgeous place to camp any time, especially beautiful when the leaves are changing. Within reasonable distance to Greenfield for supply replenishment (Big Y all the way!)
Awsome camping site in among old growth forest. Camped there in the fall just as the leaves were changing. Had the entire park to ourselves for a full day with no other campers. Western MA is so pretty. Bathrooms and showers were super clean with plenty of hot water.
Wonderful state park and beautiful river!! Only reason I'm giving four stars is that the facilities could be updated a bit.
