There are not enough wonderful things I can say about this place. We took a short family get away trip and we were so impressed. The attention to detail, the cleanliness of the cabins, and the care of the grounds truly make this a remarkable experience.
Great place to have your event here. The venue oversees a small lake and there are great views of the hilly skyline on the property. The venue has a nice deck area to hold for dancing and the indoor portion can probably hold about 100 or so guests. Parking is relatively close to the venue and is on a hill, so that may be a consideration for handicapped guests. The staff are polite and professional. They are following current respiratory hygiene guidelines. Recommended.
I didn't get a chance to write my review earlier but this is where my wife and I got married 6 years ago, so the review is a bit late! It was incredible and one of the most miraculous days of our lives. It rained all week and all day durng our wedding EXCEPT during the ceremony which was outside. Once we all headed to the lodge for the reception, it rained again! Truly a blessing and the staff at Montfair were incredible! We reserved all cottages for our wedding and they were excellent and we loved the A-frame. The location is amazing and is the perfect place to get away from everything.
I was only able to spend one night here, but I already plan on going back for thanksgiving and Christmas. I stayed in the Loblolly cabin, and it was adorable! The kitchen was outfitted with all necessary appliances, dinnerware, even a stocked coffee station! My boys loved the bunk room, and I accidentally fell asleep on the futon yet still slept soooooooo well! I would recommend this place in a heartbeat.
We had the honor of supporting a couple who hosted their wedding at Montfair. We had a storm and power outage which normally would have ruined a day, however the team at Montfair were so willing and ready to make accommodations. They ran a generator all night for us and literally watched it and filled up the gas multiple times so guests could enjoy the evening. The facility itself is clean and perfect for a 100 person event. The ceremony spot has a gorgeous view and we highly recommend.
