We arrived at the end of tropical storm/depression Debbie. The area received a LOT of rain. We were shocked the campground was already dried out in the AM! We had a patio site and it was spacious. The amenities are great (pool, mini golf, pickle ball, pool table and more). The bathrooms are clean and the camp store was well stocked. Location is great - near Montreal but still a quiet campground.
This was my best experience at a KOA, compared to others I've stayed at in the States. The campground was very clean and well maintained, and service at the desk was friendly and attentive. The bathrooms were spotless too, and appreciated the showers with constant running water, and shower handles located outside the shower, so you could control the water temp first. Pool area was nice and good mix of travellers from all over Canada and States. Price was very reasonable too, just twenty miles or so outside Montreal. Highly recommend.
Great spot for a few nights. We had a cabin but there are many RV and tent sites as well. The cabin has a bunk bed and a double bed, nothing else other than a ceiling fan with a light… perfect space as its just to sleep. The pool looks well kept and theres a small kids park. The washrooms and showers are modern and clean. The only negative for me is how close the park is to the main road so you hear all the traffic, but maybe sites further back in the park wouldn’t. If you stay in a cabin request #1 as it has no one beside, just field so more private. Overall a great facility for our stay! We will be back!
I stayed here for four nights with my family on a trip to Montreal. It served our purposes well. See detailed review below. The lot: A relatively plain, sizeable plot of land with a tree on it. All grass, no gravel, not much roots. A little hard to get tent pegs in because of rock beneath soil. Electricity and water on site. Water taps sprayed about a bit rather than giving a steady stream but they gave out plenty of water. Standard picnic table. Nice firepit on concrete, which made it easy to chop kindling. The campground: Straight rows of lots, most of which are suitable for trailers and tents. Gravel roads running in straight lines. Street lamps to keep things well lit at night, which was nice overall but added some undesirable light to our site, which was right beside a couple of the lights. Dedicated charging station for EVs. Nearby thoroughfare, with steady traffic noise and regular trains passing by, including during sleep hours. The washrooms: Large, clean, accessible. Hot showers and tap water. Mediocre water pressure in the shower for me but good for my wife and daughter. The amenities: Tennis, ping pong, pool, playground, volleyball, swimming pool (closed in the fall when we visited). Lounge with dish sink, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, pool, air hockey, foosball, and shuffle board. This was helpful during rain and chilly evenings. Weather notes: Our campsite did not flood despite a fair bit of rain. The roads beside our site carried most of the rain and became puddly and muddy but that was preferable to a muddy campsite. Access: About half hour drive to downtown Montreal or twenty minute drive to the Longeuil Metro Station, which has many large public paid parking lots nearby and connects with the Montreal Island subway system. Staff: Very friendly and bilingual. Seems like they're doing a great job of running a peaceful, clean, well-maintained campground.
Overall it was a great campground. Lots for the kids to do. Very clean. Showers are clean and good pressure. My only bad thing to say is that they campsite I got had no trees. It was hot. I did go and sit in another site nearby because it had trees. For a camper who is staying for more than one night they should get a site with trees. The trees that was there were cut down. All tent sites were occupied the first couple days.
