Its location makes it particularly convenient for travelers on Interstate 90 (I-90), a major east-west corridor across South Dakota. The campground is not far off I-90, making it an excellent stop for those on longer journeys, including visitors heading to popular destinations like the Black Hills, Badlands National Park, or even en route to Sturgis.

  • From Pierre (the state capital): The drive is considerably longer, around 160-170 miles east, approximately a 2.5 to 3-hour journey.

This is a fantastic amenity, especially for families during the warmer months, as noted by enthusiastic campers: "Pool is an added bonus!!" Daily admission fees for the pool apply (e.g., $3.00 daily admission), or seasonal passes can be purchased.

  • Pet-Friendly: The campground is welcoming to pets, with ample "lots of places to walk my dog," making it an excellent choice for those traveling with their furry companions. Guests are responsible for their pets' behavior and cleanliness, and leashes are generally required.
