We camped here for 2 nights week before Christmas. It was a Friday/Saturday and there were probably only maybe 10 other sites taken. We booked site 3 and it was great, 1-3 when you first arrive are by themselves on the left with a great view of the lake. Besides the tent only camping these are the closest to bath house also. There is a new bath house with flushing toilets and 1 shower which was lovely. No electricity in bath house though to use a hair dryer or flat iron. Awesome cell signal. (We have Verizon). Great sun for solar also. We saw gators and a large turtle. Stars at night were beautiful! Our only complaint were a couple tent campers the first night were pretty loud and stayed up till 4am. Not the campgrounds fault. You can’t pick your neighbors unfortunately. We would definitely camp here again!
Quiet. Small. Well kept. Nice big clean showers with ample hot water. Gators in the water but well behaved. Well worth the stay if you don’t need hookups. 😁👋
Very nice place to stay/camp. The Host, Angie, and Ellen(spelling 🤷♂️) were so kind and helpful. Thanks, ladies. And to the gentlemen host also. If you want to relax in the Everglades, this is the place. 👍👍up.
Hardly a mosquito during the day, but when night fell, you couldn't see your hand in front of your face! That was because it gets very dark. Also there were quite a bunch of mosquitoes. Bring one of those zapper rackets for bugs. It helped clear out the tent for a peaceful night.
I love this Campground. The sites on the far side are very spread out with beautiful views of the lake. Very quiet! Only complaint I have is the traffic around the loop. The week we stayed it seemed like people would come in and just drive around the loop. If in a taller camper watch out for tree limbs around the water fill up station. We asked them to trim so hopefully they will. Bathroom has one shower but it was always so clean.
