We were at Moody Bluff campground for 4 days and loved it. We saw deer almost every evening and enjoyed a few trips to the lake. The shower house was really clean and has air conditioning!
We have gone camping here several times. It's nice and quiet with full hookup. But do not stay in 118 sites, and most sites are very nice. This is not 118 site
WARNING site 117 was impossible for us to get level on with our 27’ travel trailer. There was a 5’ drop on the passenger side. Maybe a longer rig could get level easier. Asphalt site. The office was gracious enough and had availability to move us. Clean restrooms and showers. I would be leery to drive in here with a bigger rig as the roads are tight. The other part of the campground seemed to have wider roads, but they are hilly. We were only passing through for a one night stay. Nearby roads are not very bike friendly. No shoulder to ride in.
Open campground, several of the pull-through spaces have a significant grade on them. You do get some road noise. The best sites are the far ones- away from the road and wide/long pads. Restrooms are ok- clean but have prison toilets and sinks installed, shower could definitely be better but is adequate. If you don’t need the 50amp service, recommend the main campground instead.
Being a new camp ground, the biggest thing it's missing is trees. We was here for 4th July weekend. If yall was here you know how hot it was. Also some of the camping spots are small. My advise is to visit your spot before you book. The staff are awesome, and the host is very helpful. There 2 shower houses, but only one has shower and toilet. They are clean and the water has nice presure. We saw many dogs walking around. Always follow dog/pet walking rules , pick up your poo, please.. Overall nice experience.
