Booked a last minute trip here for our anniversary. First weekend of summer and most everything was full. Cabin was basic but clean. Views were beautiful. Service at the restaurant has been stellar as well as the food. Libby was an amazing host. She went the extra mile to help us find someone to fix our boat trailer while here.
The place was pretty, but the amenities were awful! Internet cut in and out, the electric outlets were loose, and only 1 tv in the place. They left no trash bags, no hand or dish soap. The bar was great. The people were friendly, but I definitely would not recommend it.
My husband and I celebrated our 15 year wedding anniversary at Moon River. We rented a cabin and their jet skis. Our cabin was cute and updated. Added advantage was this resort has a restaurant and bar, as well as fishing and boating. What more could we ask for! We loved our stay here and will be coming back again. It was easily found with access o nearby activities as well. The staff was friendly and catered to our needs. We loved Karoke night on Friday and they had a live band on Saturday night. Friday we enjoyed a delicious catfish dinner and steaks on Saturday. I recommend their fruity frozen drink. I can’t remember the name but ask for the 2 frozen drinks that they mix together. This is a great quiet place to rent a cabin or hookup your RV, directly on the water.
We had a great time. Moon River Resort is a small, beautiful place on Lake Barkley in Cadiz, KY. The lakes are gorgeous and expansive. The staff at the resort was helpful and friendly.
Don’t expect to get what you reserved. Unprofessional and unhelpful customer service. We reserved a boat online several days in advance. When we arrived we received a different boat than we reserved, as all the other boats had been taken. There was no anchor, a broken gate, covered in cob webs. The dock worker told us we would receive a 50% discount as it was clear we weren’t getting what we paid for. The owner refused to give us a discount. Would not recommend or return.
