The campground is great, but really what makes this an awesome campground is Verna and John the owners. They are easy to deal with super friendly and very reasonable rates. Plus, the property is beautiful as elk Creek running right through it tons of trees and shade even a apple orchard!!
The Owners are truly awesome folks!! They treat everyone like family. This is the best place around BY FAR!! So many other RV Parks/Campgrounds in the area want to charge you up the wazoo! So, if you're looking for a place to stop by for vacation and or the Sturgis Rally Definitely stay @ Mooney's!!

Miss Mooney is one of the most down to earth, genuine, and honest campground owners in the greater Rapid City area. The campground is nestled on Deer View road just a hop skip and a jump off of Elk Creek. No semis cars trucks hitting the rumble strip in the middle of the night waking you up. Extraordinarily beautiful views to behold every Morning and into the hours of Twilight. A lazy Creek runs through the property I do not know if it is fishable but it is very nice to listen to the sounds of the water in the evening. Primitive camping is available 30 and 50 amp RV hookup full service or half boondocked. Conveniently located between Sturgis and Rapid City very short drives to the areas sites and attractions.
