Beautiful camp areas and river. I was just there and was so angry at people who throw trash everywhere. Everywhere I walked was toilet paper. Why cant people bury it properly? Even by the restroom on the ground was toilet paper. In the restroom, people left bags of garbage. There were corona bottle caps all over my campsite along with other garbage. I picked up every small piece of trash I found. WHY come to a beautiful place and trash it? I lost my parrot Jojo there on 09/10/2018. Red head/green cheek amazon. I hope someone finds him. If so, I have postings on 911 parrot and craigslist/Pioneer. He knows his name and may come to telling him you have cookies or yummies. REWARD!
Pros: - The campsites are spread out enough so that you're not right on top of each other. And there are some MONEY sites so get here early. - It's free. - There is a killer beach and swimming hole. Cons: - Crowded, so you better be ok with people. - The river is pretty fished out. We caught a few small ones but this part of the river is hit pretty hard. - Lots of trash everywhere. I couldn't believe how much sh*t was around the campground. - The bathrooms are the 3rd circle of Hell (Dante's Inferno, read it!). Hold your breath!
Beautiful place, a lot of people. But PLEASE do not bring little cars here. Trucks and 4 wheel drive would be the best. Mine and another little car got stuck and luckily someone helped us out of a literal ditch situation. Please no small cars 😂 save yourself the embarrassment
