The west side is more secluded, and the pit toilet is on that side. The east side is larger with a small stream next to it.” Another visitor shared their experience: “A great campsite with a short (1.7mi) in-hike from Long’s Peak TH. Stayed here in June 2020. Sites are on either side of the main trail; pit toilet at the north site is strangely close to main trail so hit it early for privacy. The south site has a tiny seasonal stream that is very good for a water source or to keep your beers cold.”

A great campsite with a short (1.7mi) in-hike from Long’s Peak TH. Stayed here in June 2020. Sites are on either side of the main trail; pit toilet at the north site is strangely close to main trail so hit it early for privacy. The south site has a tiny seasonal stream that is very good for a water source or to keep your beers cold. We made the climb to Estes Cone and explored the meadows nearby.

Stayed here in 2016, loved it! Great campground, There is one on the west side fo the trail which is more secluded and the pit toilet is on that side. The campground on the east side is larger and there was a small stream next to it - it may or may not be dry, but we were able to filter water from it. We hiked to estes cone on a day hike and it was fun - but the trail is hard to follow.
