Moorings II Campground

Peace, tranquility and serene is Moorings II Campground. It is a very quiet RV Campground with amazing views. It is the sister to Moorings I in Belfast, which is a few miles SE from Moorings II. Each site in the Campground has a view of the Harbor and each is easy to get into and out of. The Campground has pull throughs and Pull ins, however you can back into the Pull ins if desired, but with the views why not face the water. You will see great sun rises, a variety of sea life (Seals, Whales, Seahawks, Eagles and Porpoises). The staff is great and always willing to do what they can to make you stay as pleasant as possible. In addition to great campsites they have a house on site (original house) that is used as an AirBNB and VRBO. Moorings II is just a few miles from Searsport and approximately 7 minutes from Belfast. In addition, Bangor, Augusta, Stonington, and Bar Harbor are just a stone throw away making this campground a perfect base camp for adventures in Maine.

Favorite campground so far. We’re relatively new to camping, only 6 years or so. During the early years we toured many campgrounds within 2 hours of home and most were ok to awful. NOT so with moorings 2. It’s my favorite campground and since we found it been coming here 2 time a year. View is fantastic, always quiet, owners and managers are great, and the sites are level, clean and well maintained. I’d take a site all season if I could.

This is the sister site to Moorings in Belfast. Amazing views, excellent customer service and great location. They have Back-in, Pull-in and Pull-throughs site. They are dog friendly and have clean restrooms with showers.

Can’t say enough about this campground! The views are amazing! The staff is friendly, and overly accommodating (in a good way). Very dog friendly. The sites are level with two sewer hook-up location options per site. It is very open and spacious feeling, and the ocean is right in front of you! Access to the ocean via a path at the campground. This is exactly perfect for us! We unexpectedly returned back while on our vacation, because we love Moorings ll so much. Beautiful, relaxing, no frills, but absolutely everything you would need. Thinking of returning in the Fall, and definitely next year!

Great views, with a small quiet campground. The staff was great they made sure we got onto site and what we needed to settle in. Bathrooms were clean and up-to-date.
