Moose Lake Campground Introduce

Moose Lake Campground, located at 134 S Range Rd, Marysville, MI 48040, and reachable at (810) 650-5292 or +1 810-650-5292, falls within the Campgrounds & RV Parks category. This campground offers a mixed experience, with some notable positives and areas where improvements could be made.

One of the highlights of Moose Lake Campground is its lake access, which provides opportunities for fishing and swimming. The campground has also been praised for its hospitality, particularly during events like the 4th of July, where guests enjoyed fireworks and food. The welcoming nature of the staff, especially Andrea, who is noted for her kindness and helpfulness, is a significant plus.

However, tent campers should be aware of some limitations. Reviews indicate that the tent camping area lacks shade due to the absence of trees, and there have been concerns about geese droppings. Additionally, the campground primarily offers porta-potties instead of traditional bathrooms and showers, which may be inconvenient for some campers. Electrical access for tent sites is provided via extension cords. The campground is noted to be 4/20 friendly.

For RV campers, these issues may be less significant, as they typically have their own onboard facilities. The campground appears to cater more to RVs, with its focus on providing electrical hookups. The social atmosphere of the campground is also a draw, with events and a sense of community among campers.

In summary, Moose Lake Campground offers a lake-centered experience with friendly hospitality and event-based celebrations. However, tent campers should be prepared for limited amenities and environmental challenges. RV campers may find it more suitable. It is a campground that offers potential, but requires careful consideration of personal camping needs.

Stayed here for Jonnie Nooner weekend with my boyfriend and older brother. We stayed in a tent and were perhaps the only ones who had stayed in a tent there in months. There was geese poop all over the place (they feed the geese 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️) AND THERE ARE NO ACTUAL BATHROOMS OR SHOWERS. Poorly cleaned porta potty ONLY. If you’re in a camper it’s not a big deal but as a woman trying to camp in a tent it really was unfortunate. Andrea was however very kind and welcoming, she stays in a camper there. We arrived pretty late at night, we called her and she picked up right away and directed us to our campsite. She also sold us some firewood and let us know that the campground is 4/20 friendly which is definitely a plus lol. There are also ZERO trees along ANY of the specified ‘tent area’. So if you plan to hang up tarps or hammocks good luck! Oh and if the sun is out you’re going to ROAST. So overall $35 a night for a plain unshaded campsite with electricity (a singular extension cord across the grass) it could be MUCH nicer.

Had a beautiful experience with friends and family for the 4th. Great hospitality! Fishing, swimming fireworks and food. We will be back for sure.

Quiet place friendly people. It was a really nice place to stay. The only thing they must have just started to open there was geese poop by the swimming area. They probably will be on that task as more campers start camping. They offer yearly stays, but they have a long list. That's a bummer because we are looking for a year around.

It's ok. Clean, friendly, and has a lot to do. Game room is cool, good fishing lake and a small playground. It's better in a camper rather than a tent. Close to the highway so noise was an issue for me sleeping. No actual restroom just port o potty. Rates are pretty cheap $30 a night with electric. I would probably camp here again, though it would not be my first choice.
