This was an amazing lake. The road was pretty maintained for a service rd. On the way up less then 1/4 mile away from the lake we came across a mama bear and 2 cubs. Once we got to the lake we were all alone on beautiful lake. Bring bug spray. On the way back down probably half mile down the rd from the lake we came across another set of mama bear and smaller cubs this time. Definitely worth the drive.
If you want remote, this is remote. There is a pit toilet. The lake is beautiful as all mountain lakes are. The campsites are few. If peace and quiet without the sounds of the modern world is what you want then this remote campground is for you. We walked into the lake and sank in the silt. It looks like the far side has more to offer as far as a place to swim. The road in is bumpy and long. 17 miles off the North Fork road.
Great secluded campground. Has pit toilet, but no running water, no garbage.
Small remote lake with a nice campground. Traffic is minimal. Despite the name, I've never seen Moose at this lake. Definitely worth the drive though!
Secluded and far from it all. Road is beyond horrendous.
