Customer Reviews
This is a great park at the beach. The whole area is maintained and kept clean. Parking is onsite. Public restrooms are available. Leashed dogs are allowed on beach. Children will have fun on the shore. This is also a popular area for bikers of all ages. You can view the surfers and paddle boarders on the water. The view of The Rock up close is awesome. Seagulls and sand pipers were seen along the shore and on the rocks. They were quite tame. Ground squirrels liive and play on the rock walls. This is a favorite spot for locals and tourists.
I'm not qualified to describe the complex beauty and natural wonder within Morro Bay state Park, the Monterey Cypress trees all look as if they're a council of wise stewards of the historic land, but their zany branches and whacky shapes like from a Dr Seuss book suggest they all speak with the voice of a drunken Christopher Walken. See? Not qualified.
- PROS - Beautiful location
Packed to the gills. The neighbors fire pit was 1 ft from my trailer. Pack em in!😫 I always thought if u paid to camp u didn't have to pay to dump your tanks?? Glad it was only a one night pit stop. But it's located in one of the most beautiful places on the central coast. So they have that going for them.
I stayed 4 nights. Location is convenient for exploring the Morro Bay and Hwy 1 area. They have level sights. Clean rest rooms and showers. They charge extra to use the dump station. Firewood available for sale. Nice shade and next to golf course.
