Sweet little campground, where one can almost get away from the sound of the road going through Banff. People are allowed to free camp anywhere on the parking lot, so lots of comings and goings in the evenings. On the one hand, it’s nice that you can show up and just stop for the night in the parking lot, and the other hand if you already have a spot on the night, I was there, people were pushing into my campsite and even using my picnic table late at night!
Awesome sites along the river.. The water was only 48, but we jumped in anyway. I enjoyed meeting people from all over the world in the overflow lot. Beautiful views of the mountains as well!!!
Pretty campground along the river. For your RV, I‘d recommend #1-4 or #38 as they are directly at the river and covered by trees. Starting from 5pm, overflow camping is allowed and you can stay on the gravel - so if you arrive late and everything else is booked, you definitely find a spot here for the night (at least during September/October).
Nice campsite with great spots, we were lucky enough to get one right on the river. There was little sanitary facilities but that was ok
